Man Tries to Steal $107 Worth of Goods From Dollar Store: Orange Police
Police say the man was trying to take more than $100 worth of goods out of the store when employees noticed him.

ORANGE, CT — A New Haven man is accused of trying to steal more than $100 worth of merchandise from a dollar store in Orange, police said.
Officers responded to the Dollar Tree store at 96 Boston Post Road in regard to a shoplifting in July. Officers learned that the arrestee, Robert Hallet, 46, of Congress Avenue, had attempted to take $107 worth of merchandise out of the store without paying, police said.
He was stopped by store employees and pointed out to police, police said. Officers subsequently took him in custody and he was charged with sixth-degree larceny.

He was released after posting $500 bond.
