Man's Car Stolen, He Gets Arrested: Orange Police
The good news is that the man's car was found in another town.
ORANGE, CT — A New Haven man, Marcus Burkett, 54, had his vehicle stolen and ended up being arrested because he had a loaded firearm inside the car, Orange Police say. On April 25, officers responded to an area store on the Boston Post Road in reference to a report of a stolen motor vehicle, police said.
Police said Burkett left his motor vehicle unoccupied and running with a loaded firearm inside. The car and firearm were stolen, police said. The stolen vehicle was found in a nearby town but the firearm was not recovered, police said.
Burkett is charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and failure to store a firearm properly.
