Men Try And Scam Elderly Couple, Trash Their Car: Orange Police
Police say the two men damaged the couple's car and then tried to pressure them into having them fix it.

ORANGE, CT — Two New Haven men are accused of trying to scam an elderly couple, Orange Police say. On Oct. 1, officers responded to 538 Boston Post Road on a report of a scam taking place in which Christopher Jace, 22, and Bobby Vlado, 18, both of New Haven were pressuring an elderly couple into performing body work to the elderly couples’ vehicle, police said.
Officers’ investigation revealed that Jace and Vlado caused the damage to the vehicle in an attempt to perform the body work and obtain a profit by means of scamming the elderly couple, police said. Subsequently they were taken into custody and charged. Later it was found that the total damage to repair the vehicle is approximately $8,000, police said.
They are both charged with first-degree criminal mischief and illegal repair without a license.
