Middle School Students, Teachers Take It All Off
Amity Middle School hosted a St. Baldrick's Day Fundraising event on Monday, with tremendous results.
Amity Middle School sponsored its third annual St. Baldrick's Day fundraising event on Monday.
This is a popular fundraiser during which participants shave their heads, with all monetary from supporters' donations helping children and young adults who are fighting childhood cancers.
The school's goal was to raise $30,000

By the end of the evening, the event had raised: $22,000*
31 Ponytails were donated, 55 people shaved their heads, including at least four girls.**

Top Participants were Myles A. a student, whose goal was to raise $500 in honor of his friend Lucas, a cancer survivor. Myles's final tally was $1,245.
Teacher Señor Holt, whose personal goal was to raise $750. He beat that by raising $760.
Top Teams were: Team X eXtremers - $3,890. and Yodeling Team Y - $3,111.
