Milford GOP Chairman Moving to Orange, Will Step Down: Report

MILFORD, CT — Republican Town Committee Chairman Paul Beckwith is moving to Orange and therefore will be resigning his position, the Milford Mirror reports.

Paula Smith, who ran for mayor in 2015, will fill-in until a new chairman is named. Beckwith said he loves Milford but him and his wife found their dream home in Orange, the Mirror reports.

Beckwith, who has led the GOP locally for the past four years, will continue on until Nov. 30, which is around the time of his closing.

A new permanent chairman is expected to be announced soon.
