Miriam Ramirez, 90, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Julio C. Ramirez, passed away on February 6, 2026

Her life was a sermon. Her love was her wealth. Her faith was her anchor. Her prayers were her power. Her faith was her legacy.

Miriam Ramirez, 90, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Julio C. Ramirez, passed away on February 6, 2026. Born on February 20, 1935 in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Heriberto and Juanita Sambrana.

Miriam was a selfless and generous woman whose life was defined by love, faith, and sacrifice. From an early age, she placed the needs of others before her own, a pattern that would shape her entire life.

At just seventeen years old, Miriam moved with her mother and three younger siblings from Puerto Rico to the Bronx, NY, where she lovingly cared for her much younger brothers. This early responsibility revealed the heart she carried - one rooted in service, compassion, and unwavering devotion to family.

Miriam shared 43 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Julio, until his passing in 2001. Through her unwavering faith, love and example, Miriam led her husband to Christ in the early years of their message, which marked the significant spiritual turning point of their family. Miriam’s and Julio’s love was a true testament to commitment and faith. They renewed their vows on their 25th wedding anniversary and often sang duets together in church, praising God side by side.

A devoted and proud mother, Miriam believed motherhood was a sacred gift from God. She lived this belief daily, pouring herself into her children with tenderness, prayer, and guidance. Her faith was the foundation of her life. A true prayer warrior, she prayed every day for her family and all those in need in the community and around the world.

Miriam lived by the words of Jesus that she cherished deeply: “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” She and her children made it a mission to visit those in the community who were unseen or cast aside: the sick, the lonely, the elderly, the addicted, and anyone in need of comfort. Though she never sought wealth, what little money she had she often gave to missionaries serving in countries around the world. Her riches were never measured in money, but in love.

She and Julio brought their children faithfully to attend church at least every Sunday and, without seeking recognition, Miriam would quietly clean the church every Saturday. Her service was humble, consistent, and done entirely for God’s glory.

Throughout her life, Miriam faced multiple life-threatening illnesses, yet through God’s grace, she was healed time and again. She trusted God as her Healer, her Provider, and her Sustainer. Even in her final moments on earth, she remained trusting and filled with peace.

Miriam lived a life of service to her family and to God. Her legacy is one of faith, love, generosity, and quiet strength. She leaves behind a family forever shaped by her prayers, her sacrifices, and her boundless heart.

Her life was a sermon. Her love was her wealth. Her faith was her anchor. Her prayers were her power. Her faith was her legacy.
