Mom Sleeps While 3-Year-Old in PJs Wanders the Neighborhood

Orange police say the mother was sound asleep while the child was found by a passerby walking the neighborhood.

Orange police say a mother was sound asleep Friday while her 3-year-old child wandered outside while only wearing pajamas.

Police said at 11 a.m. officers responded to the area of New Haven Avenue and Dogburn Lane, on a report of an unattended child wandering around the area in pajamas. A passerby stayed with the child until police arrived.

Police said they went house-to-house looking for the child’s parents, and determined that the child had been staying at a home on Spring Street.
