Agnes Margaret (Murcko) Hanson passed away peacefully on December 29, 2022 at her home of 57 years in Orange, Connecticut.
Born, March 28, 1921 in Thomaston, Connecticut, Agnes was the daughter of Mary Kochiss Murcko and Paul J Murcko. She grew up in Stratford, Connecticut. After her marriage to Gerald D Hanson in 1946, they were stationed at several naval bases, before settling in Milford and Orange, Connecticut to raise their family.

Agnes was a strong and independent woman. She was a talented seamstress, crafter and crocheted. After raising her family, she was employed as an office clerk to age eighty so that she could fund her insatiable desire to travel throughout Europe and Asia.
Agnes is survived by her sons Gregory E (Mary Claire) Hanson and Wayne C (Susan) Hanson; daughter-in-law, Sharon Myers; grandchildren Sarah Hanson Goodman, Kevin (Melissa) Hanson and Timothy Hanson; great-grandchildren, Levi and Madeline Daughtery, Cheyenne and Beau Goodman, Logan and Lucas Hanson, and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her spouse of 65 years, Gerald D. Hanson, her daughter Karen P Hanson, and her siblings, Joseph Murcko, Evelyn Murcko and William Murcko.
A Graveside Service will take place at the convenience of the family with Rev. L. Kenneth Fellenbaum officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
