Obituary: Anna "Jean" Regina Edgeworth, 96, of Orange

ORANGE, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Anna Regina “Jean” Edgeworth, 96, of Orange, beloved wife of the late James W. Edgeworth, Sr., passed away peacefully on May 24, 2020. Born on February 15, 1924 in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Maryellen Nicoll.

Anna enjoyed playing bingo and roller skating in her youth. She and James enjoyed traveling together before his passing in 1999. She was a former president of the Elks Emblem Club and a faithful Born Again Christian.

Anna leaves behind her son, Dennis Edgeworth and his wife, Christine; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and niece, Patricia Kane. She was predeceased by her son, James W. Edgeworth, Jr.; and siblings, Evelyn, Rose, Genevieve, Irene, Rodney, Charles, and Ruth.

Services will be private. The family is being compassionately cared for by the staff at the Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street Milford, CT 06460. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America at www.dementiasociety.org.
