Obituary: Karen Jean Bruneau, 73, Of Orange

Karen was the Vice President of Bruneau's Service Center Inc. where she worked side by side with her loving husband Robert L. Bruneau.

ORANGE, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Karen Jean Bruneau, of Orange, CT passed away peacefully at ST. Raphael’s Hospital surrounded by her family on December 2, 2022. Karen was born in New Haven to the late George Korzick.

Karen was survived by her daughter Heather (Jason) Terryn, son Charles (Jennifer Graves) Bruneau, stepsons Michael (Betsy) and Robert (Maureen) Bruneau, grandchildren Mia Bella, Jordan, Gianna, Tyler, Evan, Brian, Kevin, Natalie, and Lia. She was preceded in death by sisters Pauline (Korzick) Cerrone and Stephanie (Korzick) Amaturo.

Karen was the Vice President of Bruneau’s Service Center Inc. where she worked side by side with her loving husband Robert L. Bruneau for over 50 years.

Beyond her dedication to her children, husband, and family, she had an absolute love for her cats and took great pride in rescuing countless animals. She was hardworking, smart, crafty, and truly a one-of-a-kind woman.

The hours for visitation will be held on Saturday, December 17 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A prayer service will begin at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please donate to the West Haven Animal Shelter.
