Obituary: Roland Gunter, Sr., 75, Of Orange

ORANGE, CT — Roland Gunter, Sr., age 75, beloved husband to Sharon Ann Magera-Gunter of Orange, entered peaceful rest on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

He was born on January 14, 1947 in Exmore, VA and the son of the late John and Carrie (Beech) Gunter. Roland loved cars of all sorts and would often be seen working and driving his favorites. Roland was an avid music lover! All genres and styles he could be found listening and dancing to it all the time.

In addition to Roland’s loving wife of 20 years, he leaves his daughter, Shante Gunter-Gray and her husband Gregory of Raleigh, NC and two sons, Sheldon Gunter and Roland, Gunter, Jr., his three grandchildren, Saibra, Saige and Heaven. He also leaves his brother Woodrow Gunter of VA and several nieces and nephews. His brother, John and three sisters, Virginia, Carrie and Louann predeceased him.
