Orange Bank Robber Pleads Guilty: U.S. Attorney

A man suspected of robbing two banks and attempting to rob a third pleaded guilty in federal court.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A New Haven man pleaded guilty to one count of bank robbery Friday in federal court.

Vincent Jones, 50, attempted to rob Key Bank in East Haven during July 2017, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office. He robbed the Webster Bank in Orange in July 2017 and Bank of America on the Boston Post Road in Milford on August 8, 2018.

Webster bank was robbed of $5,469 and Bank of America was robbed of $6,578.

Jones was arrested in August 2018 by state authorities. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
