Orange Candidate Profile: Paul Kaplan For Planning & Zoning

ORANGE, CT — Election day in Orange is drawing closer, and to help residents make an informed decision on Nov. 5, Orange Patch asked candidates for various elected offices to answer questions about their campaigns and the issues in town.

Paul Kaplan, 60, is a candidate for the Planning and Zoning Commission. He is an attorney and a Democrat, and his family is Lisa Kaplan, Danielle Kaplan, and Stephen Kaplan.

The single most pressing issue facing Orange is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

To try to judge zoning applications in a fair and forthright manner with the hope of benefiting the under utilized properties on the East end of the Post Road.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

My 35 years as a real estate Attorney in addition to my 16 years on the Zoning Board provide a significant understanding and background in considering all aspects of zoning applications.
