Orange Election 2016 Results: Big Night for the Incumbents in Orange

On Election Day here's information on all the candidates, polling places and more.

ORANGE, CT — State Sen. Gayle Slossberg, D-Milford, won re-election to an eighth term of office as she defeated challenger Pat Libero on Election Night, the New Haven Register reports.

State Rep. Themis Klarides, a Republican, won re-election Tuesday defeating Aldon M. Hayes, who ran as a member of the Working Families Party, the New Haven Register reports. Kim Rose, a Democrat also won re-election, the New Haven Register reports. Rose defeated Rick Varrone, a Republican, by about 1,500 votes, the Register reports.

State Rep. Charles Ferraro, a Republican, defeated Democratic West Haven Councilman Sean Ronan for a second-term, the Register reports.

ORANGE, CT — Orange residents head to the polls on Nov. 8 for the 2016 midterm election. Polling places in Orange close at 8 p.m. On the ballot, registered voters in Orange will be able to select candidates for president and vice president, United States senator, representatives to U.S. Congress, state senator, state representative, and registrar of voters.

In Orange the choice for 14th Senatorial District involves Democratic candidate Gayle Slossberg and the Republican candidate is Pat Libero. Slossberg is a six-term incumbent. Pat Libero has been an educator for over 37 years, serving as a Special Education Teacher, Principal and Vice Principal in the West Haven school system.

In the 117th State House District, the Republican candidate is Charles Ferraro and the Democratic candidate is Sean P. Ronan. Ferraro is serving his first term. Sean Ronan is currently serving as 9th District Councilman and Council Majority Leader for the City of West Haven.

For the 118th State House District, the Democratic candidate is Kim Rose and the Republican candidate is Rick Varrone. Rose has served three terms in Hartford. Longtime Milford resident, Rick Varrone was nominated at the Republican convention on May 16 to run.

For the 114 State House District, the Republican candidate is Themis Klarides and the Working Families Party candidate is Aldon M. Haynes. Klarides is serving her ninth term.

Democrat Janice M. Casey and Republican Frederick A. Kendrick are the candidates for registrar of voters.

The candidates for president and vice president are Republicans Donald Trump and Mike Pence, Democrats Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine, Libertarians Gary Johnson and Bill Weld, and Green Party Jill Stein and Ajamu Baraka.

For United States Senate the candidates are Richard Blumenthal, Democrat, Dan Carter, Republican, Richard Lion, Libertarian, and Jeffrey Russell, Green Party.

For United States Congress the choice is between Incumbent Rosa DeLauro, a Democrat and Angel Cadena, a Republican.
