ORANGE, CT — The Orange Volunteer Fire Department was busy on Sunday battling a shed fire. At 1 p.m. firefighters responded to the 200 block of Old Tavern Road for a report of smoke coming from a shed in a backyard.
While in route it was upgraded to flames coming out of the shed. The first arriving unit found a fully involved shed on fire with no exposure issues, fire officials said. The shed was 1/2 workshop and 1/2 chicken coop. The fire was extinguished and put under control very quickly, fire officials said. No injuries reported.
