Orange Man Arrested Over Facebook Post On Festival: PD

A user wrote that the festival was the reason "we need 30 round magazines."

ORANGE, CT — Police arrested an Orange man after his Facebook comment caused concern about the New Haven Puerto Rican Festival.

Jeffrey Hanson, 53, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. He is due in court Monday.

Police Chief Otoniel Reyes said that police haven't identified any threat to the event and encouraged people to come to the festival Saturday.

A Facebook user under the name "Jake Wilson" posted a comment on a story about the festival that said it was the reason why "we need 30 round magazines," according to the New Haven Register.
