Orange OKs Banner For OVFD's Carnival
Board of selectmen unanimously approves stretching sign across Orange Center Road for two weeks prior to August fundraiser.

ORANGE, CT — Town leaders have given the local volunteer fire department the go-ahead to place a banner above Orange Center Road to promote a major department fund-raiser.
The Orange Board of Selectmen voted unanimously May 11 to approve the Orange Volunteer Fire Department's request to install a banner over the main road for two weeks prior to the event.
The annual Orange Volunteer Firemen's Carnival is slated to take place Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 4, 5, 6 and 7 at the Orange Fairgrounds, which are located on 525 Orange Center Road.

The annual event will feature food, rides, games and the "World Famous Raffle," according to the OVFD's website.
On Saturday, Aug. 6, there will be a fireworks show at the fairgrounds.
