Orange Opposes Release of Documents Concerning Oregano Joe's Closure
An attorney claims his client contracted salmonella poisoning at the eatery.

The curious case of why Oregano Joe’s was shut down by the town continues. The newest development is that the town is asking a New Haven court to quash a subpoena for more than 50 documents related to the business’ closing in June, The Orange Times reports.
The town is refusing to hand over any documents regarding why the Boston Post Road restaurant was ordered to close temporarily in June. An attorney, whose client claims to have contracted salmonella poisoning from the eatery, is seeking the documents, reports Joseph Cole, the paper’s editor-in-chief.
“Based on my interpretation of the law, we are not in a position to release the documents without violating the statutes,” said Town Attorney Vincent Marino to The Orange Times.
