Orange Police: 77-Year-Old Man Charged With Stealing a Car

Orange police say officers conducting routine patrol observed a vehicle disregard a traffic light on Route 34 this week.

Upon stopping the vehicle, officers learned it had been reported stolen in December, police said. The driver, Walter Oliver, 77, of Balance Road Road in Seymour, was subsequently taken into custody and charged with first-degre larceny.

He was held on $75,000 bond.
