Orange Resident Accused of Assaulting Woman: Police

Police said neighbors called 911 after hearing the victim's screams for help.

ORANGE, CT — An Orange resident is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond after an assault occurred, police said. Officers earlier this month responded to a disturbance at a private residence on Avalon Drive.

Officers learned that Michael D. Hart, 20, of Orange, had gotten into an argument with a woman on-scene- and that argument turned violent, police said.

Neighbors called police after hearing the woman screaming for help, police said. Police took the arrestee into custody and obtained medical treatment for the victim, police said. It was later learned that Hart also had a warrant out for his arrest due to a previous incident, police said. That warrant was served as well; he was held on bond.
