Orange Resident Receives GNAC All-Conference Honor
Three members of the Albertus Magnus men's soccer team were honored in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference postseason awards on Monday.

ORANGE, CT — Freshman Salah Oumorou (West Haven, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's soccer team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Year to lead the Falcons' honorees in the league's postseason awards on Monday.
For the second straight year, senior Justyn Broderick (Orange, Conn.) represented the Falcons on the third team, while senior Ritchy Jean Pierre (Fairfield, Conn.) landed on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
Oumorou had a breakout freshman year for the Falcons, finishing third among GNAC leaders with 32 points on 15 goals – including four game-winners – and two assists. He posted five multi-point games, including a season-high eight points against Anna Maria. Oumorou also recorded three hat tricks this fall, two of which were in conference play, and finished his rookie campaign third in the league in shots with 75.

Broderick closes out an impressive career with Albertus Magnus by earning All-GNAC recognition for the second time. Last season, he was named to the third team after leading the team in points as well as led the squad with three game-winning goals. This season, he started in all 18 games for the Falcons and tallied two goals and a career-high seven assists for 11 points, ranking him second on the team. Broderick tallied four multi-point games for the Falcons and ends his career ranked within the top 20 all-time in program history in points, goals and assists.
Jean-Pierre ends a stellar career with the Falcons by earning a spot on the All-Sportsmanship team. He finished his senior campaign with a goal and an assist for three points. His lone goal of the season was the game-winning goal that sent the Falcons past Purchase, 1-0.
