Orange Would Lose Big Under Malloy's Budget Proposal
Governor's latest plan to close funding gap hits Orange harder than other towns; Orange would lose 77 percent of its state funding.

ORANGE, CT - The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.
Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.
For Orange, it would be a 77 percent cut from the previously approved $2.13 million total - to $495,000
