Pair Of Dogs Die In House Fire In Orange: PD
The fire was reported just after 7 p.m. on Saturday.
ORANGE, CT — Two dogs were killed in a house fire on Turkey Hill Road in Orange Saturday night, Orange police officials announced on the department's Facebook page.
The home was otherwise unoccupied when the fire was called in just after 7 p.m., and no other injuries were reported.
"The Orange Volunteer Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire," police officials wrote. "There were no occupants in the home at the time of the fire. Unfortunately, there were two canines in the residence that perished due to the heavy flame and smoke conditions."

Turkey Hill Road was temporarily closed between Grassy Hill Road and Derby-Milford Road on Saturday. The cause of the fire is under investigation by Orange fire officials.
