Pedestrian Fatally Struck by a Car on Route 1 in Orange: UPDATE

Orange police are investigating and asking anyone with information to contact them. BREAKING

ORANGE, CT — Police say a person struck by a car Friday night has died.

Police said they are investigating a car versus pedestrian crash that occurred in front of 205 Boston Post Road at about 9:45 p.m. Friday evening.

The victim was walking east on the south side of the Boston Post Road and was struck while attempting to cross to the north side of the roadway, police said.

The vehicle which struck the victim remained on scene and the operator is cooperating with investigators, police said.

Police said Saturday morning that the victim did die as a result of their injuries. An identification has not been released as of Monday.

Police are still investigating.
