Police: Man Steals Empty Beer Keg from the Orange Ale House

Orange police say this is the second time this year the man has allegedly stolen an empty beer keg.

Now imagine if the keg was full.

Orange police say Brian Novicki, 35, of Rosewood Avenue in New Haven, is accused of stealing a keg from a local bar/restaurant, the Orange Ale House, for the second time within a year.

Officers learned that the arrestee had been observed stealing an empty beer keg from a storage area, police said.

Employees observed the theft and recorded the arrestee’s license plate number, police said.

Officers recognized Novicki, as this department had arrested him previously this year for doing the same thing, police said.

Officers located him and the stolen beer keg a short time later. He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny.
