Police Release ID of Woman Struck and Killed by a Vehicle in Orange: UPDATE
Orange police said the woman was trying to cross five lanes of Route 1 Friday night when she was struck by a car.

ORANGE, CT — Orange police say the pedestrian struck and killed on Friday Oct. 14 has been identified as Charlotte Fox, 35, of New Haven.
Fox was attempting to cross five lanes of the Boston Post Road at about 9:45 p.m. on Friday when she was struck by a motorist traveling west bound, police said.
Investigators identified Fox with the help of New Haven Police Department and friends of Fox who are part of the homeless community in New Haven, police said.

Fox has family out of state who had to be notified which slowed release of her identity, police said.
The investigation continues and no charges have been filed against the operator of the vehicle identified as Paul Storo, 37, of West Haven.
