Rare On-Site Auction to be Held in Orange

From America's Best Auctioneer: America’s Best Auctioneer (ABA) is an Orange, Conn. company that travels around the northeast holding weekend auctions of its amazingly broad collection of estate jewelry, art, furniture, décor and more. After a whirlwind tour of six states in as many weeks, Auctioneer Mark Blechman has decided to throw open his warehouse doors for a one-day liquidation auction, Saturday, March 31st.
“A big advantage of our traveling auction is that we have lots and lots of consignment opportunities. We recently acquired the best items from more than a dozen estates and collections, significantly adding to our inventory,” Blechman said. “With the Easter and Passover holidays, we figured it would be a good idea to stay home and share the auction fun with our local, Connecticut neighbors.”
ABA’s warehouse is a wonderland for bargain and treasure hunters, Blechman added, “We come across the most amazing items. By choice, we keep our collection very broad. For example we recently acquired two, old-fashioned, one-arm-bandit slot machines. These are on sale alongside furniture, oriental rugs, crystal, diamond jewelry, luxury-brand watches, European and Asian porcelain, Picasso lithographs, sports memorabilia, dolls, stamps, coins, full size statues and little objets ‘d art.”

If you’ve never attended an auction before or are a pro, Blechman said his process makes it easy. “First, there is never any charge to enter or register. You are under no obligation to bid or buy. Second, we run a by-request auction. That means the people attending our event decide which items come across the auction block. You can request any item to be auctioned and requesting an item does not in any way oblige you to bid on it,” he explained. “Furthermore, I decided to run the March 31st event as a liquidation auction. That means no reasonable offer will be refused.”
Doors open at noon for a one-hour inspection of the thousands of items in the warehouse. The auction begins at 1:00 p.m. ABA is located at 464 Boston Post Rd., Orange, in the back of the shopping center. More details and a representative selection of items are shown on the website: www.ABAAuction.com.
