Restaurants in Orange - Samurai Fusion Sushi Restaurant
Sushi - Family owned and operated since October 2010
Samurai opened at 111 Boston Post Road in October 2010. The previous site of Wild Ginger, another Sushi restaurant. The restaurant is certainly inviting with 19 tables and a Sushi bar.
I went with Joe Oleschuk, volunteer fire fighter, who loves to eat and pays attention to details. Browsing through the menu, the prices are on the high side. We decided to go with the All-you-can-eat special and try a little of everything. This menu does not include all of the offerings that are on the regular menu. When you order, because everything is prepared to order, it takes a while to get your food, too..
The Tempura had a nice coating and was nicely prepared. The downside was that it was a little greasy. The crab, shrimp and chicken were all good quality and incredibly flavorful.

The Hibachi Squid and Teriyaki Squid were both a bit rubbery and didn't have much flavor. I would avoid them.
The Sashimi was fresh but the pieces were small. Order a lot of pieces if you are a fan.

The Sushi again was fresh, but the rice was warm and detracted from the flavor.
The rolls were particularly good. Nicely prepared, fresh and flavorful. I recommend Samurai. All ingredients are fresh and well presented.
The service was good, but the wait time for the food was too long. As far as overall value, it's not bad, but there are other places in town where you get better values. Rating 8
