4 Hospitalized In Serious Accident On Route 15 In Orange: UPDATE
The highway was closed for several hours Saturday as State Police investigate. Two children were among the injured.

ORANGE, CT — Four people were injured when a car lost control on Route 15 in Orange Saturday, State Police said.
At 10:12 a.m., Suhas Muchandi, 42, of Edison, NJ was driving along Route 15 southbound in the left lane, State Police said. The driver lost control of the vehicle due to the rainy and wet weather.
Muchandi went to the right, across the right lane and onto the grass shoulder. The car continued in a southbound direction on the grass shoulder and struck a tree with the passenger side of the vehicle, State Police said.

All occupants, Suhas Muchandi, Shraddha Muchandi, 39, Shvet Muchandi, 10, and Sanika Muchandi, 8, all from Edison, NJ, were injured and taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Shraddha Muchandi, 39, suffered a serious injury in the accident, while the other three people suffered suspected minor injuries.

The highway shut down for several hours Saturday morning and afternoon. As of 3:30 p.m. the highway has reopened.

ORANGE, CT — Route 15 southbound is closed between Exits 57 and 56 due to a two-vehicle accident. The accident may take up to four hours to clear.
