'Santa Is Watching You'...At Least In Orange

You definitely don't want to end up on the naughty list this time of year.

ORANGE, CT — We all know Santa Claus is very busy this time of year but never too busy to partner with local law enforcement. The Orange Police Department announced Friday that they have partnered with "Santa himself" to ensure residents don't end up on the naughty list this holiday weekend.

Police officers have posted electronic signs around town that state "Santa Is Watching You!!" While the Police Department may be deploying a bit of humor on social media the message is quite serious.

"With the holiday weekend upon us, the Orange Police Department would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year. Please remember to designate a driver if you will be drinking, and give yourselves ample time to get to your destinations so you are not tempted to disobey traffic laws.

"This year, we have partnered with Santa himself as he makes his list and checks it twice. We've placed speed trailers at various locations around town that will help Santa determine who's naughty and who is nice. Our officers will be keeping an eye out, too, so please drive safely and make sure that there won't be a traffic ticket under the tree...," the Orange Police Department wrote on its Facebook page.
