Shelton Father Leaves 2 Young Kids In a Car: Orange Police
The father told police he left two kids under the age of 3 in his car while he shopped, police said.

Orange police officers say they responded to the parking lot of the K&G store at 80 Boston Post regarding two young children alone in a vehicle.
Officers arrived and found two children under the age of three in the vehicle, police said. Their father admitted to having left them alone for a short time while he went inside the store, police said.
Hasan Mehmeti, 37, of Wall Street in Shelton, was subsequently taken into custody and charged with two counts of risk of injury to a minor, two counts of leaving a child under 12 unattended.

He was released after posting $5,000 bond.
