"Unbelievable" — Last Three Seconds Of Amity Baseball Game Was Picture Perfect

Amity's Mike Concato (19) pitched a one-hit** shut out on Wednesday at Amity. But, believe it or not, that is not the most exciting thing about this ball game.

Paul Gusmano (20) hit a double and Justin Ashworth (17) had an RBI, bringing Gusmano in for the first and only run for Amity.

Then, in the seventh inning, Sheehan's Mike Kakalow (5) hit a ball, Grayson Amoroso (8) caught it in right field and wailed it in to Keith Klebart (4), who tagged the runner out at third base.

The stands errupted in cheers, and parents lingered a little longer to talk about the "unbelievable" play they had just witnessed.

Amity's record is now 10-3.

** parents said it was a one-hit game but the sports writer for the New Haven Register called it a no hitter.
