What is Plato's Closet? (with clarification)

A new resale shop, Plato’s Closet opened at 575 Boston Post Road on Feb. 7.

You may recognize the shopping plaza for its familiar Sherwin Williams, Total Fitness Equipment and Sleepy's stores.

The business allows local teens and twenty-somethings (guys and girls) to bring in their gently-used, quality, brand name clothing and accessories (including shoes, belts, purses, jewelry and other teen items) and receive cash on the spot for the merchandise and Plato’s Closet purchases.

Clarification posted Feb. 21: The store is now only open to purchase merchandise from local residents. Consumers are currently unable to actually purchase merchandise at the store.

Once the store reaches proper inventory levels, it will open to both buy and sell merchandise. This should be within the next 4 – 6 weeks.
