Woman, 72, Accused of Shoplifting From Target: Orange PD

ORANGE, CT — A 72-year-old New Haven woman is accused of shoplifting from Target in Orange, police said. Officers responded to the Target store on Route One in regard to a shoplifting complaint on April 16, police said.

Officers learned that Catherine Brown, 72, of New Haven had taken $136 worth of merchandise from the store and left without attempting to pay, police said. She was stopped by store security and detained for police, police said. Officers then took her into custody, and she was charged with sixth-degree larceny.
