Woman Charged With Forgery, Larceny Offenses: Orange Police
Police say they learned the accused had an active arrest warrant after they stopped a car she was an occupant of.
ORANGE, CT — A New Haven woman was arrested after police say they stopped a vehicle she was inside of and learned she had an active arrest warrant, Orange Police say.
On April 20, officers performed a motor vehicle stop on the Boston Post Road and came into contact with Briana R. Butler, 24, of New Haven, police said.
It was discovered that Butler held an active arrest warrant in Orange, police said. Subsequently, she was taken into custody and charged with issuing of bad checks, second-degree forgery, forgery symbols, and sixth-degree larceny.

She was initially held on a $1,000 bond and was later released on a promise to appear in court.
