Woman Charged With Identity Theft, Forgery: Orange PD

Police say the accused gave another person's name when she was arrested and medical bills were sent to the victim.

ORANGE, CT — A West Haven woman is accused of identity theft and several other charges stemming from a ShopRite shoplifting incident where she gave police someone else's name, Orange police said.

On Dec. 10, 2017 officers made an arrest for shoplifting at the ShopRite store, police said. At the time, the person arrested, Felicia Julianelle, 30, of West Haven, stated she was injured while trying to flee the scene, so officers obtained medical assistance for her, and she was subsequently transported to the hospital, police said.

On Dec. 26, 2017, a different woman arrived at police headquarters, police said. Officers investigated and found that the ShopRite arrestee and the innocent person knew each other, and the arrestee had used this person’s name and information at the time of her arrest, and now the innocent person was receiving bills for the medical treatment given to the arrestee, police said.
