Shamrock Farm Is the Readers' Choice for Buying Plants and Flowers

This week's Readers' Choice poll reflected that spring is on a few resident's minds with just 62 votes being tallied. Two local farms in town proved to be the local favorites to get plants and flowers.

took off in the polls, holding the lead at the beginning of the week, and last night had (29%) of the vote; picked up some votes on Tuesday and then took the lead with (63%) as of last night.

As of this morning though the two were neck in neck 46% to 48% with Shamrock Farm edging out Treat Farm by just one vote (29-30). With no comments in favor of either one, there is no tie breaker, Shamrock Farm is your favorite place to buy plants and flowers.

This quaint little farmstand captures the essence of historic Orange, surrounded by rolling hills, friendly animals and planted fields. 

In the spring, the greenhouses are filled with different varieties of plants and flowers. Owner Jim Zeoli, the town's first selectman, and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable and can suggest the right plants for your garden whether you have shady or sunny areas to fill.

Three of the other seven choices, , and Walmart, received one vote each (2%).

The poll showed that those with a green thumb spread their love to the different businesses in town with their votes, but this poll only recieved one comment:
