Head-On Crash Shuts Down Stretch Of Route 34 In Oxford

Emergency crews responded Tuesday morning to a collision at Route 34 and Punkup Road.

OXFORD, CT — A two-vehicle head-on collision on Tuesday morning at a busy Oxford intersection prompted a response from local fire, EMS, and police personnel.

The Oxford Fire Department was dispatched around 9:43 a.m. to Route 34 and Punkup Road for the reported crash.

Firefighters assisted Oxford EMS with removing victims from the vehicles and securing the scene, according to officials. Police also responded to manage traffic and investigate.
