2014 Village at Oxford Greens Scholarships available for Seniors at Oxford High School

Residents of Village at Oxford Greens to Award Scholarships

 

        Residents of The Village at Oxford Greens will again be awarding scholarships to seniors at Oxford High School who plan to attend accredited institutions of higher learning in the fall of 2014. This is the fifth year residents of Oxford Greens have provided scholarships to Oxford High seniors. Over the past four years Oxford Greens residents have provided over $23,500.00 in scholarships to graduating Oxford High School seniors. Oxford High School seniors are encouraged to apply for this scholarship.

          Each scholarship, known as The Village at Oxford Greens Scholarship, will be awarded based on academic excellence, school involvement, and community service.

          Students applying must fill out an application, write an essay, and supply the necessary recommendations and transcripts.

          A committee collects private donations from Oxford Greens residents and when the final amounts are established, decides how many scholarships to offer and what the amount of each scholarship will be.

          Announcement of the winning students will be made at the OHS Awards Night Ceremony to be held on May 29th, 2014, where a representative from the Oxford Greens Scholarship Committee will present the awards.

          The deadline for applying is April 25, 2014.
