OXFORD, CT — A familiar summer event is gearing up to return, with engines, prizes and a community crowd expected once again.
The Oxford Center Volunteer Fire Company’s 16th annual car show is scheduled for July 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Oxford Center Fire House, 484 Oxford Road.
Organizers say the show will feature classic and custom vehicles, along with trophies, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle. The first 150 cars will receive dash plaques.
Food trucks are also planned, and radio personalities AJ from the Chaz and AJ show are expected to appear, according to event details.
Pre-registration is set at $12, while day-of registration will cost $15.
As planning continues, organizers are also seeking local business support through a T-shirt sponsorship program.
For $65, sponsors will have their business name printed on the back of official event T-shirts and receive one free shirt. Additional shirts can be purchased for $20, while event-day pricing will be $25.
The deadline to participate is June 13.
Those interested can contact Jenna at 475-281-9582 or reach out through the fire company’s social media page.
