Oxford Fire Crews Free Person Trapped In Vehicle

OXFORD, CT — One person was trapped after an early-morning crash in Oxford, fire officials said.

The Oxford Fire Department responded at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday to a crash at the intersection of Jacks Hill Road and Commerce Drive, according to the Oxford Center Volunteer Fire Company.

When crews arrived, they found one vehicle on its side with a single occupant trapped inside, fire officials said.

Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and removed the windshield so the person could be safely freed, according to the fire company.

Oxford EMS and the Oxford Police Department also responded. Fire units at the scene included Cars 1 and 2, Rescue 44, Engine 41 and Engine 31, officials said.

No additional details about the person’s condition were immediately included in the fire company’s update. Patch has reached out to Connecticut State Police for more information.
