OXFORD, CT — Oxford officials are reminding residents that June is dog license renewal month.
The Oxford Town Clerk’s Office will begin processing renewals June 1, according to a town notice. Renewal forms are expected to arrive in residents’ mailboxes around that time.
The town clerk’s office said it cannot renew a dog license without proof of a current rabies vaccination. Residents renewing through the mail or using the Town Hall front porch drop box must also include a self-addressed stamped envelope or a $2 handling fee.
The town asked residents to address all dog license renewals to the Oxford Town Clerk.
All dogs 6 months or older must be licensed under state law, according to the notice. Late fees will begin July 1.
Residents with questions may contact the Town Clerk’s Office at 203-828-6602 or townclerk@oxford-ct.gov.
