OXFORD, CT — Oxford will host a drive-through, low-cost rabies clinic for cats and dogs Saturday, June 13, at a new location, according to an event flyer.
The clinic is scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. at the gazebo at the Oxford Annex Building, also known as the Old Center School, at 462 Oxford Road.
Dogs must be leashed, and cats must be in carriers.
The cost is $15 for residents and $20 for non-residents. A three-year rabies vaccine can only be given if proof of a previous vaccine is provided; otherwise, pets will receive a one-year vaccine, according to the flyer.
The event is cash or check only.
The Town Clerk’s Office will also be on site offering dog licenses. Licenses cost $8 for spayed or neutered dogs and $19 for non-spayed or non-neutered dogs.
Donations will also be accepted to benefit the Oxford Animal Shelter. Organizers are asking residents to consider monetary or food donations.
