• Morton Andrew Mitchell (newhavenindependent.org) — Oxford residents are mourning the passing of longtime community member Morton Andrew Mitchell, 84, who died peacefully at home on August 18. A U.S. Army veteran and 35-year Sikorsky employee, he leaves behind his wife, Okcha, a large extended family, and many friends. Calling hours and burial will be held in nearby Seymour on September 10.
