Antique and Vintage Book Collections at the Twitchell-Rowland Homestead Museum

"The Tale of Peter Rabbit" and other books by Beatrix Potter collected by Louise Burr are on display at the Twitchell-Rowland Homestead Museum in Oxford.  Mrs. Burr has paired each title with appropriate animal figurines.  Also on view are antique and vintage children's books from 1900 - 1975 enjoyed by generations of the McConaghie/McGugan family of Washington, CT and the Buck family of Ansonia.  These were loaned to the Oxford Historical Society by Rob Buck.

The Twitchell-Rowland Homestead Museum is open on the first and third Sunday of each month from 2-4 p.m.  Admission is free and refreshments will be served.  For further information call (203) 888-0230.

The Museum will be closed on Easter Sunday.
