UPDATE: State Police Release Photos of Oxford Armed Robbery Suspect and Vehicle

The armed robbery occurred Tuesday evening in Oxford.

UPDATE: On Thursday afternoon State Police released photos of the suspect’s car and of the suspect captured on video surveillance.

State Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Sunoco Gas Station in Oxford on Tuesday evening.

Original post: Troopers from Troop A-Southbury are investigating an armed robbery at the Sunoco Gas Station, 357 Oxford Road in Oxford.

On Feb. 9 at 10:30 p.m. Troopers responded to Sunoco Gas Station for a reported armed robbery, State Police said.

Upon arrival troopers spoke with store employees who stated the male suspect entered the gas station and demanded money from cash register, State Police said.

After receiving an undetermined amount of cash the male suspect fled the gas station on foot and headed south on Oxford Road. No injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male approximately 5’10’’ with a medium build. The suspect was last seen wearing a black coat over a dark gray hooded sweatshirt and a dark-colored mask or scarf over his face. The suspect was also armed with a black handgun, State Police said.
