After more than 1,000 Oxycontin pills, 500 Xanax tablets and $130,000 were seizedThursday morning, police charged two Newtown residents. They were picked up after Newtown and state police executed search and seizure and arrest warrants on the residents of the trailer park at 160 Mount Pleasant Road in Newtown at about 11 a.m., Thursday, police said. A 31-year-old Bronx man, who took part in the theft and killing of a drug dealer that led to the corpse being dumped in Danbury, was sentenced to 120 months in prison. A former youth counselor for the New Hope Baptist Church, Pathways Academy, Harambee and in one case for Superior Court in Danbury, was sentenced to 40 years in prison, suspended after 20 years with 35 years of probation. The defendant, Troy Grant, was charged with taking boys into his home, giving them alcohol, cigarettes and and convincing some of them to have sex with him.
