Bedbugs Concerns Surface at Crestview Ridge Senior Housing

Oxford officials vowed to look into residents concerns.

OXFORD, CT — Crestview Ridge Senior Housing residents recently attended a Board of Selectmen meeting to express concerns about their living conditions including the presence of bed bugs, according to meeting minutes.

Residents listed several areas of concern including: the chair lift is always out of order, there isn't enough machines for laundry at the building and the machines are often dirty, and residents said there are bed bugs too, according to meeting minutes.

First Selectman George R. Temple told residents that he'd meet with the Seymour Housing Authority to go over their concerns and he vowed to look into the bedbug issue. Selectwoman Kathy Johnson told residents that she'd advocate for residents until a solution is found.
