Rain or shine, 3-8 pm featuring foods from The Cookhouse, spirits from Classic Liquor, sweets from American Pie Co.

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the Friends of Harrybrooke Park will host their all-new first-annual Beer & BBQ Festival that will be held on Saturday, August 8th from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. rain or shine.

During the Festival, award-winning BBQ foods will be offered for purchase by The Cookhouse in New Milford, voted “Connecticut’s Best Barbecue” by “Connecticut Magazine”. The BBQ dishes offered will include ribs, pulled pork, brisket, chicken, chili and more. Classic Liquor of New Milford will offer a fine array of craft beers, bourbons, martinis and other spirits for sale. The American Pie Company of Sherman will offer a variety of delicious sweets for purchase and live music will be performed throughout the Festival by The Mason West Band of Wolcott, a rock ‘n roll blues band, and country rock band from Sandy Hook, Whiskey & Rye.

The spacious 48 acre privately-owned and maintained Harrybrooke Park in New Milford is ‘home’ to the Harden House Museum, two event pavilions, a duck pond, nature trails, wetlands, a walking/bicycling loop and scenic views of the Still River. In 1965 the park was generously left in trust for the people of New Milford by the late Frank Harden. The Friends of Harrybrooke Park is a non-profit volunteer organization committed to the preservation of the Park’s natural beauty and upkeep of the park’s facilities and the Harden House museum. Harrybrooke Park is open to the public at no charge from sunrise to sunset year round. Endowed by a trust fund, it is governed by a Board of Managers and receives no funding from the Town of New Milford.
