Beloved Town Official Jeff Haney Sr. Dies After Cancer Battle
Haney leaves behind a long legacy in Oxford.
OXFORD, CT — Beloved town official and member of the Board of Selectmen Jeff Haney Sr. has died after a courageous cancer battle, the Connecticut Post reports. Haney owned Jeff Haney and Sons Builders.
First Selectman George R. Temple told the CT Post that “This is a huge loss for our town." Haney's legacy in town is clear to see as he is credited with helping construct the animal shelter, a gazebo at a local school, a playscape and bocci courts.
